Course Description

There are some strategies and ideas that are timeless. Good pedagogy has excellent results. Combined with technology, it can save you time and make the information easy to share and engage in.

This Course takes some great ideas, some produced with paper, and helps engage students in learning. Some projects focus on social-emotional behavior, like teamwork, while others provide learning and assessment choices. We'll look behind the research of specific pedagogy and throw in many ideas in addition to the three projects you will create. This Course focuses on upping your game on content delivery, practice, and assessment to become a Tech Buccaneer.

• Teachers will design engaging content delivery, practice, and assessment
• Educators will discover products like Canva in Education and work with pre-designed templates.
• Teachers will produce working resources in their subject area to implement in their classrooms during the school year. These are resources that they can start using immediately. The power of the Course is that it provides participants time to discover new ideas, develop new skills, and integrate technology into their existing curriculum and classroom. 

 Course Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

1. Effectively integrate the use of Canva and an iPad into the classroom and classroom instruction
2. Use video, photos, and screencasts to engage students
3. Sharpen skills working with graphic design
4. Create student projects and classroom resources for use throughout the year
5. Share these resources with district colleagues.
