I joined Castleton University’s Bennington Campus in the spring of 2020. I hold a Master’s degree in nursing education from Chamberlain University and two Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing and business administration from Southern Vermont College. I became a registered nurse in 1998 and have a clinical background in Emergency Medicine (my specialty), Oncology, Medical/Surgical, and medical practice nursing. My medical career began as an EMS provider and instructor riding the ambulance on the back streets and highways of Bennington County. I retired after thirty-three years’ service.
Prior to my joining CU, I taught Phlebotomy, Wellness, Forensics, Medical Terminology and Medical Assisting at the Community College of Vermont in Bennington.
Half of my medical career was spent at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and I retired from the health system with twenty-six years of service leaving as the Director of Education, Simulation, and Organizational Development.
