Professor Peg Richards earned her graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of Oregon. Upon graduation, Professor Richards began an extensive career in Human Resources Management within the healthcare industry in Massachusetts. Professor Richards held several managerial and executive level positions in the Human Resources field during her 14 years, culminating in her position as the Vice President of Human Resources at Quincy Medical Center. Professor Richards then returned to Vermont and began her teaching career.
At Castleton, Peg found an instant connection with her students and peers. Professor Richards enjoys weaving real-life experiences together with theory. The combination enables students to grasp theory through the use of examples, stories, role plays, simulations, etc. Professor Richards greatly enjoys the close student-faculty connection that she has found at Castleton.
