Dr. Tom Geisler joined the Castleton University Department of Health, Human Movement & Sport in 2011 after thirteen years as a public school teacher and coach. Prior to that, he spent three years as a Field Instructor for the North Carolina Outward Bound School. At Castleton, Professor Geisler teaches courses primarily in the Physical Education and Sport Management Programs, while also serving as the Department Chairperson. His professional interests include Teacher Socialization, Secondary Physical Education, Teacher Preparation, Assessment, Leadership, and Coaching Education. Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and being active and outdoors in the mountains, especially running, cross-country skiing, biking, hiking and camping.
